Normandi Charles
Community Outreach Coordinator
Hi! I’m Normandi, though most people call me “Normi.” My story has shaped not only who I am, but also why I serve. I was raised by entrepreneurial parents who instilled in me values of perseverance, compassion, and community. Life wasn’t always easy, and I learned early on that struggles often exist behind the appearance of success.
When I was 11, my father died by suicide after a long battle with depression. On the outside, everything looked fine, but I knew something was wrong. His passing changed my world and left me wrestling with grief, anger, and questions I didn’t know how to answer. Over time, through therapy, support, and personal growth, I began to heal and found strength in connecting with others who had their own battles with mental health.
That experience gave me deep empathy and a passion to serve. Today, I see my purpose in building relationships, offering compassion, and being present for others who need someone to listen. My role as Community Outreach Coordinator allows me to bring people together, support families, and create meaningful connections that inspire hope.
My story didn’t break me, it shaped me into someone committed to serving, understanding, and walking alongside others. I consider it a privilege to use my experiences, creativity, and compassion to make a difference in the lives of those I meet.
